The 2016 Must Have List: Game-Changing Beauty Devices That Will Change Your Skin Care Routine
As I have mentioned a few days ago …. from here on out I’ll be sharing “themed” post every week that will feature new product launches, must have skin care products, reviews, and everything else that relates to Korean Beauty and Asian products. Ready to indulge and join the K-Beauty addiction? So am I!
To start off the year, I rounded up 10 game-changing beauty tools / skin care devices that will surely elevate your routine. Most of these devices are from Asia along with a few top picks from Korea that are highly recommended by dermatologists and aestheticians.
1. Way (Personal Skin Care Companion) » this skin care device aims to position itself as a handy dermatologist at arm’s reach. It analyzes users skin in just three seconds and gives recommendation how to improve it. Good news for the K-beautyholics – Way will suggest South Korean skincare lines that are packed with natural ingredients without having to figure which product is best suited for their skin.
What the experts say » “Skincare IoT was always a challenge that I wanted to respond to, and it’s meaningful for me to actually make it for real.” – Dr. Gana Oh, WAY’s co-founder and medical consultant
My personal perspective » Having a device that can read moisture content, estimate oil levels within the skin tissue and match its users to the right skin care product will surely make a huge difference and is worth having.
2. MISSHA Skin Tightening Auto Massager » this handy vibrating massager delivers approximately 17,000 delicate fine vibrations per minute to calm stressed out skin or swollen tissue. The massage head is designed to glide with ease around the curves of the face. It is recommended to be used on a daily basis along with the use of facial creams.
What the experts say » “A muscle toning system using electrical current will not harm the skin and may slightly tighten it but would need to be repeated on an ongoing basis to maintain any improvements.” – Neal Schultz, M.D.
My personal perspective » Massaging helps with the skin’s firmness and overall lift. Once you hit mid-20’s, I’d say this is a must have device. Handy and with continuous use, can prove to be very useful.
3. DR.BSC MINI BEAUTICIAN » this device uses blue and red light ultrasonic vibration to help rid of skin impurities, disinfect, minimize pores and lighten fine lines & dark spots to suppress skin’s aging.
What the experts say » “I have some LED-type devices, which are red light. That work very nicely for rejuvenating the skin. When it comes to the FDA-cleared devices for hair removal, skin rejuvenation and acne treatment work – just not as powerful as what dermatologists can offer in the office. Results from at-home devices come slowly and only with continued use.” – Dr. Gold / goldskincare.com

4. Love Heart W Care : Smart Finger » this mini ion applicator helps push nutrition into the skin compare to just using bare hands and contaminating the product / serum. Fine vibration is generated by the applicator to allow cosmetic product absorption efficiently and improve skin elasticity.

Does At-Home Devices Really Works
Personally speaking, I would assume it does … because I have discovered quite a few devices that had been cleared by the FDA. Given that, why would it be a[[roved if it isn’t safe to use and if it doesn’t work or deliver any results. Realistically speaking however, I highly doubt it will be as effective or as fast compare to treatments done by the professionals. The way I see it, we are given the opportunity to take home handy devices but we have to put some time in and should be willing to do the work. Some shoppers / users expect way too much right off the bat and eventually end up getting disappointed. My take on things, set an “achievable” goal and start from there.
Throughout the years that passed, we have witnessed the rise of wearable technology and innovative devices that can be safely used at home. We are now a nation of women as well as men who want results, fast and if possible … done at the convenience of our own home. In fact, most facials are now using lasers along with fractional devices to regenerate or replace injured tissue, increase collagen levels and tighten enlarged pores.
