Feria Live in Color Event

I think life is short. I try to live mine to the fullest and try to enjoy what the world has to offer. At one point in my life I have wondered why I haven’t done the things I wanted to do, like try a new dish or delicacy, visit new places … or dye my hair in a bold striking color! I was living on a “what if” and have decided that is not the way to live. My life is my own, and I am taking charge. The world can interpret me by what they see, but that will not define me for who I really am. What’s really important is that I am bold enough to go after my happiness and live a colorful life.

June 23rd I attended the Feria Live in Color event by L’Oreal held at Milk Studios, and I must say it was everything I could imagine it to be! The whole place was rockin’ and I totally had an amazing time. The venue, refreshments, hors d’oeuvre, technician, photobooth and entertainment were on point! The event started with a colorful fashion presentation by Helen Castillo from Project Runway season 12, followed by musical performances by ASTR and Elliphant.

The entire time I was busy socializing and taking snaps here and there. In fact I managed to cover pretty much everything while rocking a tulle dress and high heels! Go bold and go forth.

Both ASTR and Elliphant took us all by storm and delivered an engaging performance. Everyone was having fun and you can feel the positive vibe overflowing. It literally slipped my mind that the weather was quite a mess when the event started … the venue was packed even though it was raining cats and dogs. That’s how much of a success the Feria Live in Color event was.

In between the breath taking event and mesmerizing entertainment I found my way into the L’Oreal pop-up salon and consulted with the technician about the best L’Oréal Féria shade to compliment my skin complexion … the Power Red was an instant recommendation. I asked if I could pull off the Absolute Platinum and he kindly gave me the breakdown that with my current hair condition (& color) it just might not come out as light and white as I would want it to be. Darn over-processed hair! 😛 He added that if I really want to I can give it a try. If not, he suggested trying the Power Copper for a brighter shade.

Overall, I was totally thrilled to enjoy and unwind at the same time. Thank you so much to Feria and my Style Coalition family for having me and for producing such a fantastic event. I am definitely looking forward to see more of L’Oreal, Helen Castillo, ASTR and Elliphant in the near future.
