FAB: Fashion Against Bullying

By  |

A few days ago I received an email from SupportFAB asking me to participate and share my side regarding Fashion Bullying. Here’s the email…

Fashion Against Bullying

My side of the story? As I was growing up, I don’t give much of a crap on what other people would say about how I dress up. People around me don’t understand and refuse to understand that I am simply being myself. I dress the way that I do because I am comfortable that way. With all that, I have been labeled a “Bitch” and a “Weirdo” … and more names that I could ever think of.

Expressing myself wasn’t easy as I am the only one who is half korean, half filipino back in my younger days. Most Chinese kids stay in Chinese school, I got out and went to regular school. There are a few around but I don’t speak the language, and most Filipino’s judge me and some pretend to want to be my friend only to stab me behind my back … so I am my own island. Which is why I treasure the few friends that I have.

In any forest you’ll find snake as the saying goes. Don’t be affected. Just think that people talking behind your back are the people who are just fit to standing at the back. You dressed better than them. That is what fashion is. Each and everyone of us has this own style. Me too have my own. as long as I am comfy with it…who cares 😀

Was surprised to see that a t-shirt would work well with a bandage skirt. 🙂

I think dressing up is a way of expressing ourselves. People should just deal with it.

As the saying goes, people judge you because they are envy of how cool you are. Don’t mind them because they are just envious that you can wear a particular style that they cannot.

I think the look you did is cute. I even like the mismatch shoes. To me fashion is expression. For people to dictate and pick on others for liking certain things or wearing certain things is beyond me. the best thing about fashion is that it lets everyone be so unique!
